Atlantic City Trip

Last night, Kyle and I went to A.C. with a group of friends and stayed at the Tropicana. We gambled most of the night with our choice of game being Blackjack. We ended up at a loss after the night was over, but we got a lot of free drinks so it was almost like we came out ahead for the night. My only complaint about the trip is that our checkout time was at 11 AM. It was torture having to wake up after a long, late night of drinking. I managed to take a few pics from our trip so I thought that I’d share some of them with you.

This is a cool room that resembles a courtyard. There is a fountain in the middle and the ceiling is painted like the sky. The pics aren’t the greatest, but you get the point.

Here is the view from our hotel room. A.C. is a fun town, but other than the big fancy casinos, the rest of the town is sketchy and run down.

Special Delivery!

We got this little package in the mail the other day from our friends at Storenvy. Godmachine did a great job with the artwork and Storenvy did an amazing job at printing it. On a side note, we are even more excited about another special delivery from Storenvy that we received yesterday. More details of the other package’s contents will be available very soon!

The Power of One

Huey Lewis is still one of my favorites from the 80s (he pretty much set the tone for Back to the Future), but he has managed to go one step further in my heart with the remake of the timeless classic “We are the World.”

Alpine Skiing looks painful…

I wish the International Olympic Committee would just let the YouTube videos go, but they really want you to watch NBC to see these wipeouts.

Check out pictures from the wipeouts on the women’s Alpine skiing… they were looked like they were crashing on concrete.

Concert Update – Bonnaroo, Philly, and Me

We will start this post with the most important news… at least to me it is. Come March 27th I will be able to scratch one band off my list of seeing live… Pink Floyd! Okay I lie, but if you close your eyes and just listen these guys still sound pretty fucking close.

In other music/concert news, the Bonnaroo list has come out. The list as a whole isn’t terrible and would probably still be a good time, but I think they are losing touch to what they started out as. The headliners are anything but mind stimulating for the so called “Hippie Jam Fest” (Dave Matthews, Jay-Z, Kings of Leon, Weezer, and Stevie Wonder). No one can take away from the fact that all of these artists are extremely successful, but what happened to Oysterhead, Widespread, Allman Brothers, Phish, etc. that made this festival. I will give credit where credit is due, outside the headliners they did pretty well with the variety of musicians (Claypool, Clutch, Damien Marley, BoB, Dropkick Murphys, and a fair amount of very notable others).

Check out the whole list here – Bonnaroooooooo!!!

And to end on a depressing note, if you live in the Philadelphia area… There will be no good concerts until the summer.

Kyle
