Summer of the Movie… Let’s remember the shitty ones

Maybe it is just me, but it really seems like there are a bunch of big budget/big revenue grossing movies coming around this summer… Iron Man 2, Eclipse, Grown Ups (even though I heard it was shit), Inception, Toy Story 3, etc. etc. So now that we see that all these big wig movie productions are making money… Lets look back at the movies that they made absolutely no money on.

Garbage Pail Kids (1987) – Total Gross $1,576,615

The gross of this movie would have been just enough to get Leonardo DiCaprio to walk on set for about 12 minutes.

Battlefield Earth (2001) – Total Gross $29,725,663

If it was even possible, this movie manage to make Scientology even more ridiculous.

Batman and Robin (1997) – Total Gross $ A Lot

Okay so the fuckers pulled a fast one on us all and made a totally shit movie and made money, but even money can’t cover the stench of this movie… it stinks!

Awful Awful Movies

Marty… Are you sure?

I like to see what is going on in the world of movies… They always keep me excited because every so often you get a really cool one. It is always nice especially when you have a really awesome director/producer involved in movies because they never fail you. Well one is getting ready to make a big jump in what up front seems like a real dud to his reputation. Martin Scorsese, director of “The Departed” and the upcoming film “Shutter Island,” is rumored to be interested in directing/creating a film adaptation of the children’s book “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” according to The Playlist.  While I can never take away the amazing films Scorsese has done in the past, I worry about him directing a film about a young boy who lives in a train station repairing a mechanical man(sounds dumb).  Marty if it were up to me, I would tell you to just stick with the mob/crime dramas that you have done perfectly for the last 40-50 years.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret

In case you are actually reading this Martin…. Still a really big fan even if you decide to go through with this decision… (cringe).
